Adriano Zumbo Patissier, Balmain
Most of you may have seen by now Adriano Zumbo’s new range on Citrus and Candy, The Heart of Food, Raspberri Cupcakes, Not Quite Nigella, A Table for Two, Chocolate Suze, The Way it Crumbles, Leave Room For Dessert, Grab Your Fork, Foraging Otaku, Pikelet & Pie, Ooh, Look…, and finally, Something to Nibble on
So here are some photos of some of the tasty treats on offer. I am experimenting a little with my photography having started a class. If the pics look crap, I apologise in advance!
At home I tried more of these tasty treats:
The strange looking chocolate was one of the funniest things I’ve tried. It is…..a salt & vinegar chip dipped in chocolate!!! Inspired by a hard rubbish collection day, piles of past use by date salt and vinegar chips had been found in the carpark next door..hastily the Zumbo crew quickly claimed the chips (and a few other bits & pieces) and just to see what happened, dipped them in chocolate. This won’t be everyone’s favourite, but it’s interesting enough to keep going back for more…

I’d like to thank Adriano and Rachael for their amazing hospitality in allowing an enormous group of people in to take over the cafe, assault them with questions and eat their tasty creations!

YUMYUMYUM- to everything on the page. I think it’s my lunchtime now
Thanks for the inspiration!
Oh I was waiting to hear about how the chocolate dipped potato chips were! Thank you so much for being the super organiser, it was so lovely to finally meet you!
Hahaha, great to hear about the chocolate “chips”. Thanks heaps for organising the meeting, it was great meeting you and everyone else
Love the story of the chip. They’re freegans, I love it!
It was great to talk to you in person again, Reem! Love the precarious tower of macarons, and that S&V chip looks horrible but intriguing…
All these zumbo posts XD craving them nooww and that chip look miighhttyy interesting… I would definitely try it!
i swear i must be the only blogger who still hasnt been to ZUmbo. Either im super special or super retarded LOL..
Zumbo seems to be the talk everywhere at the moment…one day i’ll try it.. maybe never? i quite like being the only person who hasnt tried it yet.. hehe
Thanks again for organising! I was very intrigued by the salt and vinegar chocolate creation. What a bizarre combination of flavours! But then, you could probably say that about lots of his creations
Apologies for the ignorance but where did 8+ people fit in the Adriano Zumbo’s- the place is tiny and doesn’t seem to accommodate for the customer who may desire to eat they’re delicious desserts on the premises….
The macarons are magical though the blackcurrant and popcorn were excellent!
@ Mel Ha! Not the Patisserie! He has a cafe now a couple of doors up the street where you can take your goodies and eat in comfort!
I tried ‘Youranuse’ on the weekend and I was pleasantly surprised at how well a combination mandarin and ginger makes!
